Using a DJI Phantom 2 and the newest virtual actuality headgear on the market, a group from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology produced a mechanism that gives wearers a real-time, first-person view from the drone's viewpoint.
The group mounted a pair of cameras to the drone, which allows wearers to look around in any direction, while it hovers in the sky. The drone is controlled by servomotors that move the cameras in the bearing that wearers turn their head.
Starting Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr., Wayne Rooney, Andres Iniesta and other soccer demigods, the four-minute "Winner Stays" spot (above) also features cameos from folks you wouldn't expect — the Incredible Hulk, for instance.
The overall premise, in the meantime is simple and successful: A bunch of kids play a pickup soccer game while imagining themselves as the game's biggest stars. Through some glitch in the space-time continuum, they get to actually play (or at least think they're playing) as incarnations of those stars.
